From a remote village on a beautiful Altaic river, the husband and wife leave for the resort on the Soviet south. The village, everyday life, people, songs, feasts, gatherings, the trip to Moscow, all is full of anecdotally ridiculous, but at the same time sympathy, compassion and even easy sadness to the situations seen by the person "out of the plow".
