Na Ah Ra and her boyfriend end up in Seoul after they are chased by loan sharks and hop a train with her younger sister along for the ride. Her sister buys them something to eat and tells her to call mom because she is worried about her since dad died.

Shin Hye and her boyfriend fight because his mother does not accept her; he tries to explain to her that it is because of her family situation and not her as a person. His mother is completely against the relationship and questions her son's motives. He says he wants marriage.

Ah Ra goes on a blind date and finds her ex-husband on a blind date too. He gets angry with her and confronts her; he tells the guy with long hair that she is his woman and to leave. She comes down the alley crying to find him waiting for her.

Choi Shin Hyung no longer feels like chasing after his ex-wife; he thinks that it is finally over between them because he no longer wants to go after her. Na Ra's mother might have lung cancer but she has been hiding from everyone that she was sick, just a cold.

Mo Sung-Ae says she has the flu, but a trip to the doctor reveals that it is much worse than she’s letting on. Meanwhile, Choi Shin-Hyung and Na Ah-Ra go on a date and decide to get married. At home, Choi Shin-Hyung talks to his mother about Choi Goo-Hyung’s place in the agency.

Shin Hyung is torn between his ex-wife and his mother who seems to like the new girl he has been dating. He feels as if he is past the marriage and is ready to move on with his life but his fathers funeral makes his mother think twice about his marriage.

Geum Sung calls her mother to tell her that her piggy bank is missing. Her mom comes home to find both the piggy banks for each kid missing, her jewelry, and her money missing. She finds out later that her sister is the one who stole everything from her and the kids.

Shin Ki Han and No Ra go on a bus tour and Ah Ra calls looking for her sister because her mother is sick; Shin Ki Han says they are not together and No Ra thinks it is a trick. No Ra finds out that mother is sick with cancer.

No Ra and Ah Ra are at the hospital with mother; she is getting ready for surgery and they are helping her bathe. Sung Ae barges in and fumbles around making mother laugh. Mothers surgery goes well but they can't get all the cancer and she needs chemotherapy afterwards to live.

Shin Hyung comes to the hospital to see mother and mother acts as if she is in love because her ex son-in-law came to see her. No Ra says that she will take care of mother herself since the family wants to get a nursing assistant to help her through cancer treatment.

Mother ends up in ICU for a while but gets better and is able to return to a regular room. Sung Ae collapses and is taken to the hospital. Mother gets better and is able to go home soon. Ah Ra gets a check from the Dean for $5,000.

No Ra takes money that her husband is angry about; he says he has to use his body to repay the debt and yells at her for taking it. Ah Ra sees Shin Hyung with a girl who set him up for a meeting in front of her, upsetting her.

Shin Hyung is upset by his mother telling him to marry the girl he has been dating; he is not interested in marriage but his mother demands that he marry the girl. Mothers doctor asks Ah Ra to have a hot affair with him and she is completely caught off-guard.

Someone tries to kidnap Ah Ra and they almost get away until Dae Ra comes to her aid and saves her; he also keeps the kidnappers close by hanging onto their legs until the police arrive. At the police station No Ra and her husband thank Dae Ra for saving Ah Ra.

Shin Hyung runs to Ah Ra and tells her that she was his for 7 years and that she cannot go out with someone else; Shin Hye shows up at his home later drunk and wanting to be with him. He sends her away unhappy with how she is acting.

Mothers playboy doctor shows up at Na Ra's home and is asking after mothers health; he lies and says he is checking on her health but is really there to see Ah Ra. Shin Hyung comes begging Ah Ra to not see the doctor and to be with him forever.

Shin Hyung and the doctor end up in the playground fighting over Ah Ra, Shin Hyung hits the doctor and causes him to bleed. Shin Hyung sees Ah Ra waiting around for the doctor and he tells her what happened; he is upset when she talks to the doctor right then.

Mother's husband allows her to make kimchi and she falls ill; she ends up at the hospital very ill and the family fights over what happened to her. The worst fears come true for the family and Ah Ra; mother is given three months to live and is dying soon.

Shin Hyung gives Dae Ra money to keep the gangsters away so that they do not bother mother again. Ah Ra tells Shin Hyung that she is drawn to the doctor because she feels like they are a team when they are working to take care of mother and her cancer.

Shin Hyung sees Ah Ra and the doctor come back from their overnight trip and is very upset; he goes out drinking and calls Shin Ae to meet with him. Choi Goo Hyung finally makes it to manager. Mother asks Shin Ae to come over and see her to talk.

Mother goes to the hospital and tells the doctor that she cannot breathe and she is dying; he convinces her that she is breathing and makes sure that she gets home. Mother finds out from the hospital that she only has three months to live and goes haywire with the news.

No Ra has been arrested for stealing from the woman's family that she has been taking care of to make money. Shin Ae is called out for going out to the clubs and is supposed to be great at dancing. No Ra is sent to jail and the family visits.

Mother finds out about Shin Ae and sees her dancing in the nightclub with her own eyes; she tries to call her and the girl will not answer her telephone. Na Joo Ra joins the army. Ah Ra's family is talking about getting her to marry the doctor for them.

Ah Ra is set to marry the doctor and mother finds out about his daughter; she decides she does not want her daughter to marry the doctor and tries to find a way to convince her to change her mind. Shin Hyung and the doctor meet up again and argue.
