White Lies

Hyung Woo, the disabled 28 year-old son of a huge luxury department store owner, is discharged from the hospital. This is upsetting to Hyung Woo because he has fallen in love with his nurse. His rich and powerful mother then decides to bring Nurse Seo into the family, preferably by marrying the nurse to her son.

Chairwoman and owner of Dream In, Mrs. Shin, sets a plan in place to make her disabled son happy by hiring the father of the girl her son loves, as the new head of security. Seo Young finds out who Mrs. Shin really is and that she wants Seo to marry her son, Jung Woo.

Seo tells Chairwoman Shin that she will not marry her disabled son, Hyung Woo, who later runs away from home and is almost hit by a car. Meanwhile, Seo is still holding a torch for her lost love, Jung Woo, who shows up unexpectedly. Finally, Jung Woo's mother plots against her sister, the wealthy Chairwoman Shin.

Seo Eun Young tells Jung Woo what happened after he mysteriously walked out on her five years ago. His mother, meanwhile, refuses to stay out of the Dream In luxury department store, and her love of couture clothes and furs becomes apparent. Finally, Seo tells Jung Woo the tragic story of their unborn child's death.

Seo Eun Young finds herself still in love with Jung Woo, but he keeps his new marriage a secret from her. Later, Chairwoman Shin makes a bigger attempt to win over Seo's family so that Seo will marry her disabled son, Hyung Woo. Sadly, Jung Woo begins lying to his wife, Na-Kyeong, about his actions.

Mrs. Shin hatches a new plan to force Seo's family to do her bidding, which involves Jung Woo setting up Seo Ho-gu for failure. Additionally, Seo's mother and father continue their argument over whether Seo should marry Hyung Woo just because his mother is rich. Seo Ho-gu finds it hard to find a new job.

Seo visits Hyung Woo, while Mrs. Shin has a private meeting with Na-Kyeong about her father, the owner of a construction company. Nurse Seo continues to let her hopes and expectations run too high, too soon. Jung Woo has mixed emotions about his wife and his old girlfriend, Seo, and then goes on an alcohol binge.

Na-Kyeong, Seo, Hyung Woo and Mrs. Shin's greedy sister have lunch together at Mrs. Shin's home, and it ends with an abrupt disclosure. Meanwhile, Seo Ho-gu -- Seo's father, falls into Chairwoman Shin's trap. Not surprisingly, Jung Woo finds himself in love with two women, and, finally, Seo tries to say goodbye to Hyung Woo.

Seo Heo-gu borrows money from everyone and puts his house in jeopardy to secure enough money to buy a restaurant. Meanwhile, just outside of Seoul, Jung Woo buys a home for Seo, hoping to keep her and his wife apart. At the same time, Chairwoman Shin is up to no good as usual.

Realizing his love for Seo, Jung Woo tells her the truth -- that he is married to someone else. Seo is devastated and leaves him, only to get home and find her father has suffered a heart attack. The family finds out that the father was scammed out of everything.

Seo's father needs surgery and Seo tries to raise the money. Finally, Seo turns to Chairwoman Shin and offers to marry Hyung Woo, which sends Seo’s mother into a raging fit. Meanwhile, a business deal with the Dodo Corporation collapses. Jung Woo thinks of himself as a failure in both business and love.

Chairwoman Shin's daughter, Kang shin Woo, arrives home unexpectedly after being away for 3 years at college. Everyone, it seems, thinks that Seo is a gold-digger, but, surprisingly, Seo finds a friend in Na-Kyeong, the wife of Seo's cheating ex-boyfriend. Mrs. Shin seems to like and trust Seo and calls her a daughter.

The Chairwoman confronts Jeong Woo concerning a business deal. Plans are underway for Eun Young and Hyeong Woo's engagement party but a surprise appearance by Jeong Woo brings back memories of the past.

Eun Young runs away from the engagement party after discovering the identity of Hyeong Woo’s brother. Hyeong Woo is taken ill and Eun Young must return to provide care for him.

Jeong Woo goes to his mother with the goal of borrowing money but she is reluctant. Na Kyeong questions Jeong Woo about his trip to the jewelry store as well as his actions afterwards.

The chairwoman talks with Jeong Woo about the upcoming marriage of his brother Hyeong Woo. Jeong Woo confesses to Na Kyeong that he had an affair but assures her that it is over now.

Jeong Woo visits Eun Young's father in the hospital and tells him about the upcoming marriage. Eun Young goes to dinner with Jeong Woo and his wife but their time together is awkward.

An argument over Eun Young marrying for money leads to upset between family members. The bride is kidnapped on her wedding day by an old love who seeks to stop the event.

The newlyweds are forced to call off their honeymoon and go home due to a brother's boycott. Min Je comes to the bar then meets up with an intoxicated Na Kyeong.

Jeong Woo visits the Chairwoman and attempts to apologize for missing the wedding but this meeting does not go as easily as planned. With her father now at home. Eun Young takes Hyeong Woo to see him.

Jeong Woo tries to repair his marriage by telling Na Kyeong what he will do to make it better. The Chairwoman comes to the store after the president is put on probation.

At a dinner, Eun Young begins to tell her story involving a past love and how he asked her to be his mistress. Mr.Song requests that Jeong Woo not contact him again.

A spy in Jeong Woo’s office continues to gather information about him and his activities. Stockholders are thinking of replacing the president because of improper methods used to run the company.

Hyeong Woo puts a clip in Eun Young’s hair but she leaves the store without paying for it. Employees see Hyeong Woo for the first time and are surprised at his condition.
