Heirs of the Night

Alisa doesn't agree with the Elders, who want to sentence Calvina for being Dracula's Shadow and the danger she might become. Back in Italy, Dracula finds Nicu and offers to turn his mother back to normal if he helps him with his evil quest. Realising Shadows can become human again makes Alisa fight even harder for Calvina's life, but she accidently outs Ivy's secret trying to convince The Elders.

The ship is speeding for Norway; Alisa's decision to free Calvina has turned for the worse. Alisa is to appear before the Elders to be held accountable for her actions. Nicu has to prove he can lead an army of Redmasks to serve Dracula. When they arrive in Norway, Lars hurries to the Noaidi. There they find that Alisa is the only one who can help Baron Magnus fight the silver in his body.

As new clan leader Lars has to vote with the Elders on Alisa's and Calvina fate. Lars' uncle General Ragnar is furious that Lars won't do things the old Dracas-way and secretly makes contact with a familiar evil. Inger offers to help Alisa and Ivy find the prison of eternal light. On their journey, unaware to them, they are being followed by a hooded stranger.

Alisa wants to go after Lars and free him from his uncle. But first Alisa, Ivy and Inger need to save the other Heirs from the sun and hungry jaws surrounding them. Calvina is released from her prison as the Heirs need all help they can get trying to get Lars back. Alisa learns that the hooded stranger is the key to finding out where Ragnar has taken Lars and the Rubies.

The quest to save Lars from Ragnar gets even more complicated as Alisa discovers that Dracula has Nicu. Now she has to save both boys. In the prison of eternal light Ivy is told that Alisa needs to take a different path…

As Alisa fights to steer the ship through the dangerous storm, the Spark shows Alisa how ruthless Dracula can be to get all his Rubies. Below deck Ivy and Inger find that Anna's notebook reveals that Alisa is the very last one to get the Spark. Alisa needs to do what she is destined for; She has to untie the Knot, not go after Lars and Nicu. They need to go to Hamburg if she is to beat Dracula.

Ivy sees Van Helsing secretly copying their map to the location of the Knot. Alisa is very troubled, but she and her friends need to find the last piece of the puzzle in the old burnt Vamalia-house first. Meanwhile Nicu and Lars learn Dracula wants to make a stop in Transylvania. When Alisa, Ivy and Calvina enter her old house, they are being watched by someone wearing a red mask…

Dracula heads for Transylvania before going to Hamburg to go after Alisa and her map, as Nicu and Lars try to stop him any way they can, putting their own lives in danger. Alisa and her friends are in deep trouble as they have been taken hostage by the Redmasks and will be sacrificed to the blistering sun.

Nicu and Lars find themselves at Dracula's castle, where he wakes up the remaining Upiry. A bad deal is on the table for Alisa to defeat Dracula. Ivy's visions show her new insights as she learns time is running out for Alisa and all will be lost if they don't hurry to get to the Knot in time. But will Alisa and the others be strong enough to face Dracula and his army?

Alisa and the Heirs have no choice but to team up with their greatest enemy to face the crazed Van Helsing. It's the only way to get Malcom, Joanne and their map back. They will have to come up with a plan of attack, but Van Helsing is setting a trap of his own. Inger helps Ivy to try and control her new discovered powers.

The race to the Knot has begun. Dracula has a head start, but the Heirs are catching up! On their way reality sinks in; after they solve the five tests and Alisa unties the Knot, they're all going to be human again, meaning some of their own will be lost forever. The Spark lights up and shows Alisa they might already be too late.

In the cave Alisa and the Heirs have to face the five dangerous tests of humanity. But the closer Alisa gets to finding the Knot, the more of her friends she needs to leave behind. Will she be able to get them back and who will stop Dracula from untying the Knot first?
