Chance in a Million

An elderly library patron, who openly admired Alison for many years, passes away. Alison remembers the man fondly, but when she attends his funeral and investigates the contents of a gramophone he left to her, she realizes their connection may not have been unique.

A weekend in the country with Tom's relatives turns out to be anything but relaxing for the unlucky couple. Alison is nervous about the in-laws liking her, but the relatives are even more nervous about what could go wrong, given Tom's reputation.

Alison's family has arrived, while Tom is supposedly away in Norway, hoping to convince her to break off her engagement. But there's one minor flaw in their plan: Tom didn't catch his flight and has managed to upset a hoard of animal rights activists.

Tom and Alison visit Reverend Dodge to sort out some details for their impending wedding. But they somehow end up caring for a number of infants and pets, which gets them in trouble with the law.

Within 24 hours of Tom and Alison's wedding, the best man has dropped out, and none of the guests have replied due to a postal error. But attendance should be the least of their worries, given the inevitable catastrophes ahead.

It's the night before Tom and Alison's wedding, the in-laws (in all their wedding finery) are caught inside a sewer, and the happy couple is in jail. How on earth will the ceremony come together?
