Boris Karloff, the apparent reincarnation of a 16th century Indian high priest living in 1920 London, tries to prevent the theft of the cursed Hope Diamond by a rich crook with mind-control powers masquerading as an Asian crime lord and return the jewel to its proper place in the Temple of Sita.
