Honoré's scandalous second feature returns in this 20th-anniversary restoration. Set in the Canary Islands, promiscuous mother Hélène (Isabelle Huppert), cool and in charge, and her pious Catholic teenage son Pierre (Louis Garrel) are grieving following the death of the family patriarch in a car crash. While mourning, Hélène begins to involve her son in her drug-fueled, sex-filled nights.
