Shin Tae-hwan, founder of the Taeseong Group, has no problem with having others hurt to get his own way. But when he impregnates a nurse that refuses to have an abortion, she decides the best plot for revenge is to switch Tae-hwan's child with another.

Shin Tae-hwan's plan to kill Lee Ki-chul is a success, but little does he realize that a plot against him is also well underway. Lee Dong-wook, Tae Hwan's true son, is without a father, while Lee Ki-chul's son begins his rise to the head of the Taeseong Group.

Dong-chul is on the run, but is quickly cornered and sent to a juvenile prison. During his stay, he meets Wang Gun, the prisoners' unofficial leader. Soon, the two forge not only a friendship, but a potential plan for escape.

Dong-chul and Wang Gun's plan to break out continues, but a visit to the facility by Choon-hee may reveal a much more dire problem than anything Dong-chul could have imagined.

Before Dong-chul can celebrate a successful escape, he must raise the money to pay for Choon-hee's operation to save her life. But getting that much funding may require becoming involved in the real world of crime.

While Dong-chul's problems only get worse when Cheng is kidnapped, Dong-wook celebrates his academic award. But Myung-hoon's jealousy of Dong-wook soon causes events to spiral out of control for both families.

Dong Chul finds Shin Tae Hwan in Macao and takes out his rage on him. Myung Hoon causes damage to a house after Choon Hee adds roadblocks for something important that he wants to proceed with.

The authorities push through their project and an upset Dong Wook goes to speak with Myung Hoon. Dong Wook gives Dong Chul crucial information that influences a change to his plans.

Myung Hoon spends the night with Ji Hyun and he finds her in another room later on. A surprise awaits Shin Tae Hwan after learning information about Dong Chul and Chairman Kuk.

After a brutal fight, Dong Wook awakes to hear Dong Chul speaking to him. Criminals that work for Myung Hoon are following him to destroy the poor area of town.

Dong Chul discovers that forces led by Shin Tae Hwan and Kim Tae Sun are trying to hurt Chairman Kuk. Dong Wook sees Dong Chul while serving in the military.

A sad marriage occurs between Myung Hoon and Ji Hyun as she gives up on Dong Wook. Choon Hee strictly warns Dong Chul to avoid any contact with Dong Wook.

Sung Hyun decides he wants to be with Hye Ryeong’s family member Hye Rin instead of her. A show of affection occurs between Dong Chul and Young Ran when they see each other.

Dong Wook strongly urges Ji Hyun to stop protesting and he reveals to her that it was difficult to leave. After talking to Dong Chul, Wang Gun forcefully takes Ki Soon.

An angry Dong Chul tells Wang Gun not to hurt Ki Soon after attempts to arrange a discussion. The celebration brings about an important announcement for all of the attendees.

Dong Chul rebuffs the ideas of Young Ran after she makes suggestions about his life and how he can change it. A business partner forces Dong Chul to give up some of his business.

A group of dangerous thugs led by Yang San Bak assault Dong Chul during a special meeting. Dong Chul offers Yang San Bak many things to successfully broker a deal.

Dong Chul reminisces about his life as Young Ran makes an announcement. A group led by Wang Gun captures Dong Chul and tries to force him into making changes concerning his business.

Hye Rin tells Dong Wook certain details that she has kept from people. As Young Ran gets ready for Hong Kong, something important comes to her attention concerning Dong Chul.

Problems arise between Choon Hee and Dong Chul over the direction of Dong Wook’s life. Young Ran’s whereabouts are unknown as Chairman Kuk wants Dong Chul to begin a search for her.

Young Ran expresses her true feelings for Dong Chul and reveals that she wants them to hide away together. Chairman Kuk sends out people to search for the missing couple.

Evidence of Shin Tae Hwan’s criminal activity comes to light and shocks Chairman Oh. Someone attempts to murder Dong Wook and then hides anything that could implicate them in the crime.
