Billy And Dom Eat The World

Arriving in London to begin their foody exploration adventure, Billy and Dom decide the first dish they want to learn to master is arguably the best dish of Britain - the Sunday Roast! Despite it actually being a Wednesday when the friends venture into Bermondsey to grab ingredients, as Dom points out one can have a Sunday Roast on any day of the week.

THE HEBRIDEAN BAKER Billy takes Dom to his northern homeland of Scotland to see a very different side of Britain. They make their way to the Outer Hebrides to get involved in an agricultural show on the Isle of Lewis. Here, they meet Hebridean baker, Coinneach McLeod, who invites them to a traditional Scottish ceilidh... Hopefully Billy still remembers his moves!

HOME TURF Billy and Dom are back in on their home turf, ready to see what the American West Coast has to offer. They begin their Californian adventure in Los Angeles. Billy introduces Dom to one of his favourite haunts in Santa Monica, the renowned Mel's Diner, a traditional 1950's style diner located right at the tail end of the famous Route 66, an iconic site in American culture.

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY Billy and Dom travel to Texas to experience southern hospitality at its best. They enjoy the excitement and furore of high school football with the Melissa Cardinals before heading to the State Fair in Dallas to learn the secrets behind the famous Fletcher's Corny Dogs, a hearty, smoky all-beef and brisket hotdog dunked in a deep-fried cornmeal batter!

SUSHI KNIVESWith skills that have evolved from the making of Samurai swords, Japanese knives are, perhaps, the most sought-after knives in the world. In Kyushu, Japan's southwestern-most island, Billy and Dom learn the art of sushi knife making from one of the country's leading blacksmiths, a man with four decades of experience and whose current waiting list for knives is eight years!

Billy and Dom visit Dom's hometown of Manchester, the world's first industrialised city and now a modern metropolis that's home to an eclectic mix of cuisines. Billy and Dom brunch at popular diner Gooey, learn how to make a delicious curry at one of Manchester's famous "Rice & Three" cafes, and explore the science of making ice cream cones.

Billy and Dom cross Costa Rica from its Northern Pacific coast to the capital San José. They learn the culinary secrets of Nicoya, one of the world's five blues zones, where the diet is considered one of the reasons that people live very long and healthy lives.

Billy and Dom head to Verbier, one of the world's most exclusive ski resorts, for a sprinkling of wintery magic and cheese. A lot of cheese. They try Europe's highest fondue in an igloo on the summit of the Mont-Fort, eat raclette prepared by a robot and learn to bake bread the traditional way in one of the few remaining communal ovens in Switzerland.
