12 Days In Taiwan

Touching down in Taipei, the first episode follows Will on his adventures while in Taipei. The first two days features a ton of incredible food at popular restaurants and local night markets while also being able to explore the famous towns of Jiufen and Pingxi, and conquering the outdoors in Taipei's own Xiangshan peak.

In this second episode, Will from Going Awesome Places hits the road and leaves Taipei for the famous forests and mountains of Alishan before heading over to Taiwan's second largest city, Kaohsiung for art, culture, and of course more food.

Episode 3 features highs of paragliding and soaring the skies of Taitung with a wedgie and also the lows of being pounded by waves in Kenting while attempting to surf and ALMOST dying (or at least being seriously injured) but regardless of it all we never lost our sense of adventure and we still filled our tummies with delicious food.

Episode 4 features our two day adventure hike in Taroko National Park which led us up various trails to eventually get to a homestay with Truku tribe member whom we call "Ah Ma". Spitting with rain almost all the way through, the biggest challenge was coming back down but a little bit of perseverance and wobbly legs got us down to the Shakadang Trail.

In the final episode, Will tries tai chi for the first time in Taipei which resulted in a few hilarious moments. From there, they head to the neighbouring town of Wulai to finally soak in one of Taiwan's famous hot springs. With a theme of seafood to round out the trip, they made a trip to Addiction Aquatic Development and fail miserably at the sport of shrimp fishing.
