At 24, Syd (Radha Mitchell) has landed what seems to be a dream job but she's still stuck fetching coffee, until a chance meeting with her upstairs neighbor, Lucy Berliner (Ally Sheedy). Lucy, a once-celebrated photographer, lives with her drug addicted girlfriend, (Patricia Clarkson) and draws Syd in. Before she can catch her breath, Syd is forced to discover dark truths about life on the edge.
