Men of a Certain Age

Three middle-aged guys decide it's time to get in better shape by going on a regular hike together. When one of them suffers a physical breakdown, it signals the need for big life changes for all three.

Joe has been living in a hotel since separating from his wife but he's starting to think about an apartment. Owen, who is one of the auto dealership's weakest salesmen, winds up with an embarrassing dealer car, one his wife will not accept.

Joe, who has become unusually obsessed with the size of his nose, tries to connect better with his son, Albert, by teaching him golf. But when the school golf team is ready to compete in a tournament, Albert is reluctant to get on the bus.

Owen and Melissa join Sonia and her boyfriend for a charity function at their children's school. Terry does his annual duty as auctioneer for the event and meets an old flame while Joe winds up going to dinner with his bookie, Manfro.

The construction at Owen's house is shut down by the city when it is discovered the contractor, who has disappeared, never filed the proper permits. The electricity is out forcing Owen and his family to temporarily stay with his parents.

Joe recounts the tale of the first date he's gone on in 20 years. The misadventures include a black eye, an embarrassing encounter with one of his employees, a piece of advice from Terry, an anxious Little Leaguer and a poorly placed lamp.

Joe goes to see his retired father, who gives new meaning to the word grumpy. Owen's wife and mother get upset when a commercial for the auto dealership implies that Owen's co-worker, Marcus, is actually Owen Sr.'s son.

Joe's bookie finds out Joe used to be a professional golfer and decides to use him to hustle a couple of guys. Owen's family becomes concerned over his increasing weight. Terry gets a new apartment.

Joe is desperate to buy a house after his son's anxiety issues worsen. Terry faces the dire condition of his acting career when he meets a successful buddy from his past. At the dealership, Owen and the sales team confront a tough customer.

Joe's new house causes him financial problems. Owen and his father have it out. Terry's big acting break hits a snag.
