Those Who Kill

Jan Michelsen investigates the disappearance of a young girl, Julie, and finds connections to a case from ten years earlier. Louise Bergstein, an expert on serial killers, is called in to help with the investigation.

Jan and Louise try to identify the person behind all the kidnappings and focus on Anders Kjeldsen, a man who has previously been arrested for rape.

Louise locates Bjorn's little sister, Maria, whose case worker suggests that Louise mentor the young woman, since she may have her newborn forcibly removed. Frederik visits the Breidablik commune where Bjorn used to live with his mother and sister.

Jan and Louise discover three women with their fingers cut off on a farm connected to Anders Kjeldsen. Emma and Julie try to escape.

The police hunt for Bjorn intensifies following a new murder. Frederik and Louise uncover truths about Bjorn's past after searching Pelle's house. A decision is made about the forced removal of Maria's baby, and Frederik gets close to nabbing Bjorn.

Louise realises that the perpetrator is not working alone. Emma manages to get in touch with the homeowner, Stine, and tries to persuade her to help her escape.

After another crime is committed, Frederik is convinced that Bjorn is the perpetrator, but Louise points to a different criminal profile. Bjorn wants to share a secret with Louise that might close the case.

The dress that belonged to Natasha, the first victim, is found, and it turns out that Anders has been keeping it hidden. Meanwhile, Stine is losing control.

Louise has moved to Aarhus for a fresh start, but the past catches up with her when Frederik seeks her help on a new case in which a disabled woman was killed. The investigation suggests her death is part of a larger pattern.

Louise and Frederik discover a connection between Bjorn and Alberte, who both grew up on the Breidablik commune. Louise moves into the commune undercover to assist the police in their investigation.

Anders is officially wanted for the crimes, and Louise suspects he has a female partner. Finally, the three women on the farm are identified, and the police realize where they may have met their killer.

Louise tries to get closer to Jon and notices his son, Frej. As Alberte becomes jealous over their budding relationship, Louise's cover gets challenged. Meanwhile, Frederik learns that one of Jon's old friends perished in a mysterious fire.

Stine is arrested but denies any involvement, claiming that she is also one of Anders Kjeldsen's victims. Emma and Anders are still missing.

Though Louise and Frederik push Jon to accept responsibility for his actions, he once again takes advantage of his relationship with Alberte. Louise faces the past, but will she find peace?

Jan and Louise find a dead body, and Louise is convinced that Stine's family is in danger. The trail leads them to a house where the police have hidden Stine's parents and brother.
