The Ambassador

To improve Sweden’s chances in a deal with the Mexican government, the ambassador makes a promise to a high-ranking military officer. It’s also the first day for a new member of the embassy staff.

The ambassador plans an event at the embassy where the focus is to impress several important Mexican ministers. Ronja takes the ambassador to an orphanage and prompts him to read for the children.

While the ambassador tries to impress a reporter, a bus crash changes the direction of the interview. Meanwhile, the state department gets word of “Women & Climate & Peace” and wants an explanation.

The possible deal with the Mexicans is about to fall apart, and the staff needs to come up with a new plan. The ambassador also needs to figure out how to put an end to “Woman & Climate & Peace”.

The deal with the Mexicans might have been compromised by a spy. While this is a disaster to Andreas, the ambassador sees it as a perfect opportunity to get ahead in the race and uses Andreas as bait.

When the secretary of state is a no-show, the ambassador believes he should be the one to hand over the official bid to the Mexicans. Someone from the ambassador’s past shows up and makes him question herself.

At the national day party, the ambassador tries to get close to the minister of defense when an unwanted guest shows up. Andreas works on a speech, but the ambassador keeps pushing him to improve it.

As they await an important decision from The Mexican government regarding the deal, a mysterious envelope forces the ambassador and Andreas to spend some time together in his office.

While the ambassador tries to change the definition of the word peace, Isabelle is teaching Axel to toughen up. The secretary of state arrives with an offer that could lead all the way to Washington.

Time for the Mexican government to announce which country to do business with. The ambassador must take a stand while Andreas calls for a code red when he realizes the ambassador’s gone missing.
