The Survivors, Colonia Dignidad

Colonia Dignidad, the most sinister cult in Latin America, was dismantled years ago. During the COVID-19 crisis, its former settlers report that the old system has returned. Meanwhile, the Survivors tell us about the cult’s dark beginnings: the kidnappings of numerous children in Germany and the excuse of assisting the orphans after the earthquake in Chile that gave rise to a real slave camp.

Just as not all the Survivors have lived their stories the same way, not all of the colony's victims grew up in the fortress that was the enclave. The Chilean victims from the region also have a story to tell, a story linked to power and the political spider web from a time of horror that is still echoing in their lives and the Chilean nation.

La colonie doit se protéger pendant l'avènement de la démocratie. Il utilise les locaux chiliens comme sa propre armée contre les enquêteurs du nouveau gouvernement, militarisant ainsi une organisation caritative. Les colons sont contraints de participer à un cirque médiatique, en compagnie de centaines d'enfants qui arrivent pour intégrer un internat permanent. Mais Schäfer a d'autres projets.

Comment cela a-t-il pu durer si longtemps ? Les faveurs, la diplomatie et les informations personnelles ont créé un réseau de liens qui ont donné à la colonie une liberté totale pour cacher ses crimes et se débarrasser de ses ennemis. Cependant, le témoignage d'un enfant ouvre les portes de l'enclave et déclenche un affrontement féroce.

Les recherches pour retrouver Schfer se poursuivent. Dans la colonie, une lutte pour le pouvoir s'ensuit alors que les colons commencent à découvrir le monde extérieur et apprennent à vivre en liberté. Mais leur parcours est ardu, et l'ancien territoire de Colonia Dignidad est au cœur de conflits qui bouleversent la vie de tous les survivants.
