Jamie's Ministry of Food

Jamie wants to start a food revolution in Britain. We watch more cookery programs than ever before. Jamie goes up to Rotherham to meet the woman who defeated his School Dinner’s campaign. He meets Julie and it turns out that Julie is a cook. Jamie asks her to help him in his new campaign. Julie tells him that although she doesn’t always agree with him, he’s all right really and she’ll help.

Jamie attends a football match; Rotherham United are playing at home, the last match of the season. At halftime, he is bricking it as he goes onto the pitch to tell 7,000 blokes that he’s up in Rotherham to get people cooking and wants them to pass it on. ‘You fat bastard!’ chants the crowd. Nevertheless, Jamie attracts 100 men to sign up.

Jamie decides his next focus for his plan to change Britain’s cooking habits is the workplace. He struggles to get employers to buy into, pass it on and allow their workforces time to pass on recipes to each other at work. He organizes a 24-hour marathon pass it on, where in the space of 24 hours, every single person at the company passes it on in the company kitchen

Jamie wants to take pass it on back into the community. He gets every person from his class to organize a street pass it on to see how well it works, neighbor teaching neighbor. It’s a great success. Natasha, Claire, Julie and Mick continue to evolve and develop. He organizes a celebrity pass it on, to get celebrity endorsement of the idea. Now Jamie turns outwards to the rest of the country.
