The Supervet

In this episode we meet 11 year old cat Shrodinger who has been run over and Fitzpatrick has to try and save the shattered the leg. Shrodinger is more than just a pet to 7 year old owner Shoshana, who has a rare autoimmune disease, whereby caring for her pets helps with her behavioural problems.

Fitzpatrick Referrals supervet Noel Fitzpatrick invents operations to help sick dogs that have problems with walking. Frankie the 1 year old Daschund has his deformed leg straightened using unique medical equipment, and Willow the 10 month old medical detection Labrador needs to have a total hip replacement in order to look after his owner Rachael properly who has life threatening allergies.

Fitzpatrick Referrals seeing an average of 3 emergencies a day. Lara the cat is one of these emergencies. Not only had she been missing for 12 days after jumping in the back of a delivery van but she had been hit by a car and attacked by a fox. But Noel is able to treat her by operating on her leg using a special plate to put it back together.

Other vet practises often refer animals to Fitzpatricks Referrals in a last hope attempt to fix them. 7 year old French Bulldog Tom not only suffers from pancreatitis and pneumonia but also has a burst disc in his spine. To top it off him and his owner Rob are very anxious so the operation also has to keep stress levels to a minimum.

The return of the documentary series following the work of a pioneering veterinary practice where Noel Fitzpatrick and his team use cutting-edge treatments to heal pets with hard-to-cure ailments. In this first episode, firefighter Kevin and his fiancé Natalie's world collapses when they discover their beloved 6-year-old German Shepherd, Otto, has a life threatening tumour.

Tonight on The Supervet, Stampy the Cavashon has been hit by a car, and is brought in to Fitzpatrick Referrals by Jim, a farmer, and his six year-old daughter Jess. Stampy is in a critical condition. He has been paralysed from the waist down.

This week, fabulous Christine brings in two (out of her four) toy poodles, Diamond and Sweetie, to Fitzpatrick Referrals. Diamond's been referred for a total hip replacement (the smallest available in the world) and Sweetie was born with a badly dislocated and deformed knee- which she now can't use- and Christine wants to know if she can have a better life.

Engaged couple Micha and Crispin put their lives and finances on hold when their beloved Bengal cat, Loki, is hit by a car. Loki's pelvis is badly crushed and the resulting nerve-damage means he may never walk again.

In this hour long Christmas special Noel has a new and extraordinarily challenging case to test his skills - Fievel is the adored young Labrador of Fiona and Dan. His hips are so bad he needs a total hip replacement on both sides. But this is only the beginning.

This week Naomi brings in a young rabbit called Speedy with a broken leg. His increasing attraction to his female companion, Rosie, meant he got a little too close. In no uncertain terms Rosie let Speedy know his advances were unwelcome and a fight left him with a badly broken leg. Noel can operate but the bone was one of the smallest he has ever operated on.

This week a police officer comes to Noel as a last hope for her work partner- a four-year-old German Shepherd police dog called Anya. She's a general-purpose dog (searching, tracking and biting) and the pair have been a team for two years, fighting crime, and protecting each other along the way.

Cyrus is an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog, a rare and intelligent breed. He has a hereditary problem with his knees that creates holes in the cartilage and rupture of the cruciate ligaments. Cyrus and his brother Brus have meant the world to owners Amin and Minoo, keeping Minoo company during her lonely first few years in the UK.
