Wonders of the Sun with Dara Ó Briain

Comedian Dara Ó Briain starts his investigation into the Sun by visiting Texas. There he is extremely excited to watch one of the rarest of solar events: a total eclipse. He joins thousands of others as they gather to share this amazing experience. He also looks into how the Sun was originally created and discovers how powerful it is; and how without it, life could not exist on our planet.

Comedian and science fan Dara Ó Briain explores the darker side of the Sun. While all human life relies on it, it can also cause us great harm, such as the dangers of skin cancer. He also talks to physicists trying to protect the Earth from solar superstorms and dares to venture into the ‘Bermuda Triangle of space’. He also discovers plans to replicate the Sun’s awesome power on Earth.
