The Drew Carey Show

After the department store where amiable regular guy Drew Carey worked is closed and transformed into a Web-based business called neverendingstore.com, Drew languishes in unemployment and poverty. His longtime pals Oswald and Lewis try to persuade him to get rid of his miserable ex-wife Nicki, who has been living with Drew and eating everything in sight, but Drew feels sorry for her.

Drew resorts to desperate measures to keep Kate from going through with her impulsive wedding to a handsome fighter pilot, Kirk (Cameron Mathison - "All My Children"). Drew realizes that the one woman he has always loved may soon be out of his life forever.

Suffering from constant nightmares due to losing Kate, Drew begs his friends to help him stay awake. He works at the office for days without sleeping and even rides the bus all night instead of going home. Finally, Mimi uses some unconventional therapy to force Drew to deal with his feelings--and he makes a surprising resolution.

Normally sedate Kellie tries too hard to become "one of the guys." When Oswald and Lewis want to sneak into the petting zoo and ride a goat, Kellie initially objects. But in order to prove that she can be as wild as the guys are, she steals a life-sized cardboard image of a Cleveland sports hero. The prank escalates and gets everyone in trouble with the police.

Drew plans to get married forever on his next birthday, May 19, 2003--now all he needs is a bride. After failing to impress a woman on a first date, Drew persuades Kellie to be present for his next attempt to prevent him from trying too hard. On the double date, Kellie has sex in a car with a nerdy guy, Rand (DUBLIN JAMES), from Drew's office.

Drew's mother, Beulah, tries to help Drew search for a wife by introducing him to a surprisingly attractive woman, Amy. However, when Amy reveals a unique lovemaking preference, Drew must cope with it in order to avoid disappointing his mom. Meanwhile, believing that he can dream about the future, Oswald persuades Mimi to bet a huge amount of money on a horse race.

Drew's life becomes very complicated when his brother, Steve, asks him to help hide the fact that Steve is cheating on Mimi. As Drew's story gets out of control, his friends and associates begin despising him instead of Steve. Meanwhile, Drew continues to pretend that he knows what his job entails.

Drew's former co-worker Larry Almada (recurring guest star IAN GOMEZ - "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"), who is now a successful matchmaker, offers to find Drew a bride. Larry introduces him to a seemingly perfect woman, Robin (LORI LOUGHLIN - "Full House"), who is smart, funny and pretty. She even gains the approval of Lewis and Oswald. So why can't Drew make a commitment?

Drew becomes enamored with Dawn (recurring guest star A.J. LANGER), an exciting, beautiful woman. But when he meets Dawn's numerous, adoring ex-boyfriends who still do favors for her, Drew wonders if he can succeed in this relationship. Meanwhile, Mimi copes with life without Steve.

When his bosses terminate the other internal expediting analyst, Drew is finally forced to do his job. There's only one problem: He has no idea what he's supposed to do. Drew hires a computer-savvy teen, Grace (LACEY CHABERT - "Party of Five"), to tutor him. Meanwhile, homeless after Mimi rejects him, philandering Steve moves in with Lewis and Oswald.

While taking salsa lessons, Drew finds himself attracted to his sexy dance teacher, Maria (ROSELYN SANCHEZ). But when he enlists Kellie's help in practicing his new moves, he comes to a stunning realization about his true feelings towards his old friend. Meanwhile, Mimi tries to capture a corporate spy at work.

Drew is about to tell Kellie that he wants to date her when her ex-husband, Daryl (recurring guest star JAMIE DENTON), arrives. Temporarily in a wheelchair, pitiable Daryl is repentant and charming, so Drew tries to keep him away from vulnerable Kellie. But Drew's scheming only results in Kellie feeling attracted to Daryl again. Meanwhile, Mimi and Steve reconcile--almost.

Drew is sorry that Oswald will remain jobless after failing his nursing examination, but he doesn't think Oswald is smart enough to work at neverendingstore.com. Feeling guilty, Drew offers him a job in the shipping department--with disastrous results. Meanwhile, Mimi's job at the Web site depends on her persuading her nemesis, designer Traylor (recurring guest star KAITLIN OLSON), not to quit.

When his bosses offer him a huge amount of money to perform in a live commercial for neverendingstore.com during the Super Bowl, Drew struggles to overcome his debilitating stage fright. But appearing on a local cable television dating show hosted by his friend Larry Almada (recurring guest star IAN GOMEZ - "My Big Fat Greek Wedding") may not be the most helpful idea.

When Drew's matchmaker friend Larry (recurring guest star IAN GOMEZ) tells him that he's too physically unfit for an upcoming event for single people, Drew vows to stop eating food altogether. However, the results are not what Drew expected--especially when he starts to hallucinate. DENISE FAYE ("Chicago") guest stars as Drew's fellow single Susie.

When Drew complains because his co-worker Traylor (recurring guest star KAITLIN OLSON) earns much more than him, his bosses suggest that he become more knowledgeable about computers. Instead of taking a vacation to Florida with his friends, Drew remains in Cleveland to attend a computer course along with Mimi.

Drew's love life takes on an unexpected dimension when he becomes attracted to a bisexual woman, Teri (MELANIE DEANNE MOORE), who is also dating Drew's longtime friend Elaine (AMY PIETZ - "Caroline in the City"). When Drew and Elaine disagree over who can take Teri out for her birthday, their mutual girlfriend suggests the perfect solution--a threesome.

It's Kellie's birthday, but Drew has no money to help her celebrate since he just spent a fortune buying an engagement ring for his future bride, whoever that may be. In order to get a free weekend in a mountain condominium, Drew lends Kellie the ring so they can pretend to be husband and wife--but the big trip doesn't go quite as planned.

After Drew complains about taking the bus to work every day, one of his bosses gives him an old Rolls Royce. However, Drew doesn't like feeling snobbish driving the classic car, so he gives it to Lewis--who begins acting in an even more extreme manner. With Kellie's help, Drew and Oswald try to teach Lewis about humility.

At his bosses' urging, Drew agrees to do volunteer work. He brings his beloved dog, Speedy, to a hospital to cheer up a dying elderly woman, Natalie (KATHRYN JOOSTEN - "The West Wing"). When he sees how much joy Speedy brings to Natalie--and how pretty Natalie's granddaughter is--Drew lets Natalie keep him, assuming that she will die soon anyway.

Upset at finding the Christmas mugs they made for Drew in a thrift store, Lewis and Oswald retaliate by playing practical jokes on Drew. Kellie can't believe that the guys are reacting that way instead of simply communicating their feelings.

Realizing that Drew's self-imposed deadline to find a bride has almost arrived, Lewis and Oswald try to help him by placing an advertisement on every bottle of Buzz Beer. This results in dozens of calls from drunken, unmarried women. But one caller, Lily Crawford (recurring guest star TAMMY LAUREN), forms an instant bond with Drew, and he travels to her home in New Orleans to woo her.

Drew's new girlfriend, Lily (recurring guest star TAMMY LAUREN), moves in with him. Although he feels a strong connection with Lily, Drew has a hard time coping with her sleeping habits--which include involuntary screaming in the middle of the night. Lily eventually begins hitting Drew in her sleep, but he tries to endure it.

After dating Lily for awhile, Drew decides that he is ready to propose marriage to her. Still feeling attracted to Drew, Kellie suggests that he let Lily see what he's really like when he's comfortable with someone.
