    Circumstances force the spirited Mary Yellan to travel to the ominous Jamaica Inn in Cornwall to live with her downtrodden Aunt Patience. The Inn has no guests, and Patience’s violent husband Joss Merlyn is the ringleader of a dangerous group of smugglers.
