When a mother dies of heart failure the treating physician, feeling guilty, takes her young daughter into his care - to the dismay of his fiancée. When the doctor returns a few years later after a time in Europe, the girl is now a beautiful young woman - and engaged to his fiancée's brother. The tension gets high between the foursome in this light-hearted comedy typical of the early 1930s.
