Kira and Rei's paths converge one day while Kira is engrossed in painting. Their bond deepens gradually. Yet, the entry of Makio into their school initiates a dramatic shift in the fates of all three.

Harumi, holding romantic feelings for Rei, expresses her displeasure at the deepening connection between Rei and Kira. This leads to an escalation in her harassment of Kira.

Harumi receives a warning from Makio to cease bullying Kira. Later, the painting Kira has promised to Rei is stolen.

After violently confronting the culprit who stole Kira's painting, Rei faces school suspension. Concerned about Rei's violent nature, Makio encourages Kira to reconsider their relationship.

Kira hears from Makio about Rei's brother, Sei, and once again acknowledges her limited understanding of Rei. She contemplates how she can be there for him.

Reuniting with his ex-girlfriend Shiori, Rei discovers that her feelings for him persist. Meanwhile, Makio leaves Kira perplexed by sharing the complex history of love among Rei, Shiori, and Sei.

Shiori attempts to end her life in the hopes of rekindling Rei's affections. Despite this, she's still unsatisfied and implores Kira to return Rei to her.

Rei recovers memories from his sealed past. Upon realizing Shiori is in a tight spot and on the verge of taking action, he discloses the truth to her.

Rei and Kira's romantic alignment is now evident. Makio, who has consistently watched over them and seemed to be a close friend of Kira's, actually held certain thoughts before he transferred to the school.

Makio's truth surfaces at last. Rei and Kira, seemingly brought together by destiny, shared a profound moment, yet, unbeknownst to them, Makio orchestrated it all?!
