Um the cat has been hit by a car and her diaphragm is ruptured. Mamas the terrier has been spayed, however the sutures weren't removed, and skin has started to grow over.

Bill lives in a tent with his dog Eli, who has entropion and skin tumours. Kwane meets a young lady named Whitney and her dog Bummer. Dr Kwane is astounded to hear their unfortunate life story.

Kuma the puppy lives on the streets and needs to be vaccinated, neutered and trained. Michael and his dog Presley live in a shelter, Michael is worried a lump in Presley's neck could be cancerous.

Barbara needs to put her cockatoos into temporary boarding so she can find them a new home, but the required tests are very expensive. Kwane meets James and his dog Ladybird, who is limping.

Kwane meets a Dachshund whose eyes are cloudy. Tank was rescued from being a bait dog. His owners are worried about his recent weight loss. Shadow the dog was in a fight and has a fresh cut on his ear.

When Kwane gives Goldie the dog a health check, his owner becomes overwhelmed with emotion, talking about how hard life is on the streets. Kwane is on the search for a vet-technician to help him out.

Skid Row is home to the largest concentration of homeless in the USA. Dr Kwane meets Walter and his dog Dinker, who has a very rare condition. Walter refuses surgery but agrees to a management plan.

Dr Kwane meets Tammy and her two friends Maddie the dog and Boogie the cat. A boy named Shay, his mother and their dog Shilo have been living in and out of their car for months. Shilo has a hernia.

After hearing a couple of people's stories, Genesis become emotionally overwhelmed. To cheer her up, they visit Charlie who runs a zoo/sanctuary that's home to 100 exotic rescue animals.

After booking surgery for a dog named Bobo, Dr Kwane has no idea where to find him or his owner. At Venice Beach, Kwane and Genesis meet a man and his albino python, and a kind-hearted couple.

Dr Kwane and Genesis meet a dog who can't put weight on his front leg, but the owner won't let them take him for x-rays. They give a few dogs vaccine boosters. Genesis adopts a rescue puppy Pickles.

Fruitloop the dog has swollen anal sacks, so Genesis volunteers to express them. They visit a clinic run by volunteer vets and vet students that treats around 150 homeless pets in one day.
