When Charles cuts Dee Dee off financially after she announces she wants to go back and get another degree, Dee Dee must get a "regular" job and face life in the real world. Mona starts dating a new guy, but quickly sabotages the relationship when her personal issues flair up.

With her new found independence in tow, Dee Dee enlists Phyllis's help in learning the value of a dollar. Mona and Spencer bump heads when Spencer goes above Mona to sign a new music act she doesn't approve of.

Mona's birthday goes sour when she gets an unwelcome present from her mother. While Dee Dee continues to struggle with her life direction, she is presented with a new career option.

When Mona and Spencer decide to try on line dating, they enlist each other's help in writing their personal profiles. Dee Dee finds her new career as a sports agent to be more challenging than she anticipated.

Mona becomes jealous of her mother when she begins dating a much younger man. Adam begins feeling like a loser when he realizes everyone is accomplishing their goals except him.

Dee Dee enlists Mona's help when her agency's star baseball client wants to retire and embark on a music career. Big Dee Dee must break bad news to Phyllis when her cat, Fred, turns up missing.

Mona must face old demons when she attends her 10 year high school reunion. Kai mounts an investigation after paraphernalia goes missing from the Delicious stock room. Spencer sets a date to meet the girl he's been corresponding with on-line.

When Spencer has trouble dumping his new girlfriend, he enlists Dee Dee's help breaking the news. After Phyllis's new boyfriend plans a romantic weekend away, she turns to an unlikely source for help with her sex life.

Dee Dee invites Mona to a "girl's weekend" at the spa, but Mona soon discovers her sister has an ulterior motive. Spencer's view of the gay world is changed when he spends the weekend with Adam's well connected friends.

When Dee Dee complains her new co-worker, Brett, is questioning her ability to do her job because she is a woman, Charles and Spencer decide they need to intervene on her behalf. After Dee finds out a hot NBA star has no representation she goes on a mission to sign him.

To boost her spirits from her failing acting career, Big Dee Dee decides to throw a big Legends Ball. Mona begins to worry that her new relationship with Chase is only based on the physical.

While throwing a baby shower for her ex-boyfriend and his new wife, Dee Dee notices that everyone is paired up except for her, and begins to struggle with her nonexistent personal life. Meanwhile, Mona begins to worry that her lack of maternal instincts will change how Chase feels about their future together.

Mona & Spencer become at odds over giving their newest act the "star treatment" during a music video shoot. Meanwhile, Dee Dee is asked to appear on a popular sports program that wants to feature female sports agents.

Mona becomes worried when her new boyfriend, Chase, seems to have no special plans for their first Valentine's Day together. Dee tries to cheer up Brett when she discovers he broke up with his ex-fiancé a year ago on Valentine’s Day. Spencer and Mona become at odds over his budding friendship with a rival female recording executive.

After finding out that her rival, Naomi Dawson is giving Spencer the cold shoulder, Mona immediately confronts her, and Naomi reveals to Spencer that she is HIV positive. Meanwhile, after being told to fire a difficult client, tennis player Melba Barnes, Dee Dee doesn't have the heart to follow through and attempts to give her a makeover to help her land a sponsor.

Dee Dee's new actor boyfriend tells her he's going to star in a new reality dating show and asks her to join in the fun. Things become difficult when Dee Dee realizes she must compete for his attention. When Naomi breaks up with Spencer, Mona tries to comfort him, but he doesn't want her help because she's never been supportive of their relationship.

Mona convinces Chase to hire Lorenzo as a pastry chef at City Sonoma. Chase becomes furious with Mona for not informing him that Lorenzo is her ex-boyfriend. Phyllis is bed-rested after taking a fall in the hallway of her apartment building, which Big Dee Dee and Charles happen to own.

After finding out her rival will be writing her six-month performance review for the agency, Dee Dee makes an effort to tighten up her relationship with Brett outside the office. The two have a little too much to drink one night and wake up the next morning in Dee Dee’s apartment clueless as to how they got there. Mona and Spencer trick Adam into thinking he won a sweepstakes.

While Chase is out of town on a business trip, Lorenzo shares with Mona that he still has feelings for her. Although Mona remains committed to Chase, she begins to fantasize about Lorenzo. Meanwhile, Dee Dee tries to convince Big Dee Dee and Charles to financially support Adam’s new career as a stand up comedian. Big Dee Dee quickly agrees when she finds out she can produce his stand-up set.

Mona is taking her break-up with Chase out on everyone- only to realize that she's also putting her professional career in jeopardy. Dee Dee's newly signed client is married but when she suspects he's having an affair she is faced with a moral dilemma. Meanwhile, Phyllis and Big Dee Dee assume the girls are planning a big Mother's Day celebration, since neither has suggested plans to celebrate.

Mona discovers everyone is hanging out with Chase behind her back. Gus leaves town, leaving Brett in charge of the office. But when Dee Dee's colleagues tell her he is envious of her new responsibilities she tries to keep the peace in the office. Meanwhile, when Mona begins to see a therapist she realizes she has to take control of her life.

In an effort to make up her mind once and for all, Mona decides she wants to date both Chase and Lorenzo. When both men agree she finds herself more confused then ever. Dee Dee meets a new guy but when Brett tells her the relationship won't stand a chance, she sets out to prove him wrong.
