Decoy (1957-1958) starred Beverly Garland as Casey Jones, a female police officer who often worked undercover solving crimes. It was the first American television crime series focusing on a female police officer. Many episodes had female victims and ended with Garland breaking the fourth wall and talking with the audience about the case.
