A car accident brings two desperate people together- Kang Hye Soo, a widow stuck raising a daughter while trying to pay off her husband's debt and Han Ji Hoon, a restaurateur trying to impress his father while searching for an organ donor for his estranged mother. Will a fake marriage solve their problems?

As Ji Hoon's mother gets worse and causes a scene, uninvited guests and terrible news lead Hye Soo to consider Ji Hoon's offer.

Hye Soon agrees to the marriage and they start the arrangements. The situation gets off to a rocky start and only gets worse when Oh Mi Ran demands to meet Hye Soon.

Eun Song's utter rejection of Ji Hoon leds to him recall the worst days of his own childhood.

Eun Sung starts to warm up to Ji Hoon in time for the hospital interview, but he has his hands full as his ex-girlfriend (and his brother's ex-fiancee) keeps showing up. Hye Soo's visit to her husband's grave leads to a conflict with her mother-in-law.

Hye Soo wins over President Han after he discovers her role. The contract is at risk as more people find out about the arrangment.

After refusing Ji Hoon's proposal, Hye Soo attempts to return to her life, but rumors fly and health problems arise.

Ji Hoon tries to win over Hye Soo, but inadvertantly learns about her disease and doubles his efforts. Meanwhile, Jung Hoon has a plan to take down his father and Ji Hoon.

Hye Soo undergoes her treatment as Ji Hoon tries to court her and a figure from her past tries to get her to sign a whole new contract.

With rumors of the organ trade going around the company, President Han, Ji Hoon, and Jung Hoon all try to get Hye Soo to back them.

Ji Hoon gives up everything to spend his life with Hye Soo, but she is troubled by her worsening symptoms.

In the series finale, Hye Soo accepts Ji Hoon's official proposal, but with her continued health issues, can they live happily ever after when their time together could be cut short?
