Apocalypse

Adolf Hitler wrote in 1924: "A State that refuses racial contamination must eventually rule the Earth." How could Hitler succeed in conquering Germany? Nothing predestines this mediocre student and failed artist to become dictator of Germany the Führer.

1929. Germany, harshly affected by the worldwide economic crisis, is sinking into despair. Bloody street fighting between Nazis and Communists is raging. Fear of the "Red peril" will push millions of voters into Hitler's arms. Democracy is at risk.

June 1941. Hitler has thrown himself into a fight to the death against Stalin. Two decades earlier, in 1917, Joseph Jughashvili from Georgia is a member of Lenin's Bolshevik Party, who has just seized power in Russia. The country is torn by civil war.

1942. After blocking the Germans right outside of Moscow, Stalin now faces Hitler's second assault. The world's fate will be decided in Stalingrad. Like in Leningrad, men, women and children, plunged into hell, are sacrificed.

1944: the Soviets continue on the path to towards liberation. On the road to Berlin, they discover the horror of Hitler's extermination camps. Fifteen years earlier, Stalin transformed his country using every means at his disposal.

Late 1915. British and French chiefs of staff hope to put an end to the bloodshed through an offensive planned in the Somme for the following summer. But on February 21, 1916, the Germans take them by surprise, setting off a storm of steel over Verdun.

The possibility ending the war in Verdun is an illusion. Ever since Pétain imposed his flawless logistics, the Germans are struggling to advance. The French concentrate all their efforts, including behind the lines, to prevent an invasion.
