In the village of Sant'Agata Bolognese lie the roots of the iconic Italian brand Lamborghini. In 1964, Ferruccio Lamborghini targeted building the best sports cars in the world, a bold move, being located only a few kilometers from Ferrari. Despite that, his first model, the 350 GT, left the competition from Maranello behind. And many more exciting and extraordinary sports car models followed.

The Porsche family name has been connected with car design, manufacturing and racing since the early 20th century. After the Second World War, following in his father's footsteps who had been responsible for the development of the classic Volkswagen, Ferry Porsche laid the foundation for the brand's famous sports car models like the 356 and later the iconic Porsche 911.

One cannot talk about rally sports without mentioning the name Walter Röhrl. Starting from a young age, Röhrl was able to show his talent and affinity in rally sports and won the European, World and other international rally championships several times in his career. For rally and racing enthusiasts alike he is a living legend, a genius behind the steering wheel.

Hans-Joachim Stuck is one of the best racing drivers in Germany. Over his long career he not only won the Formula II and several international touring car championships multiple times but also the famous 24-hour race of Le Mans twice, the first time when he was only 19 years old. He truly is an icon of German and international motorsports when it comes to car racing.

Winning the iconic Dakar Rally for a record 13 times, Frenchman Stephane Peterhansel had a rather unusual career as he switched from motorbikes to cars and was enormously successful with both vehicles. He also won the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, formerly known as the UAE Desert Challenge several times, also on a bike and in a rally car.

Alois Ruf is the founder of a small, but well-known car manufacturing company in Bavaria that specialises in building their own vision of street legal super sports cars on the foundation of Porsche bodys.

From the 1950s to 1970s Hans Herrmann came to fame as a successful Formula 1 and sportscar driver for manufacturers like Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Maserati who also won also the 24h of Le Mans several times.

People called her the "Queen of the Nordschleife" when she used to drive her Porsche or BMW racing cars at the Nürburgring's famous Nordschleife. Sabine Schmitz was a successful racing driver before she took a career turn by working as a presenter for German television and later the famous BBC show "Top Gear".

Coming from a famous noble family, Prince Leopold of Bavaria started a career as a rally driver in the 1960s before switching to touring cars. He successfully took part in several international races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans or the James Hardy 1000 for the Porsche and BMW brands, and he still remains involved with the BMW racing team as an adviser after ending his career in 1998.

His name is known all over the world. In the early 20th century, automotive pioneer Henry Ford revolutionized the world of car manufacturing with the foundation of the Ford Motor Company and his introduction of the assembly line technique in his factory and the iconic Model T.
