The year is 1307 and the Roman Empire is crumbling. As its grip on Europe loosens, new dynasties encroach on new lands, craving for power. Switzerland, once the peaceful and pastorial country, bows under the tyrannical Austrian king as he advances and upends the quiet lives of the Swiss peasants. One of them, a hunter called William Tell, leads his people to rebellion.
