Wanda and Sarah are estranged sisters at odds over what to do with a pecan grove they inherited from their mother. Wanda wants to keep it in the family while Sarah wants desperately to sell. They discover an elderly woman, Lilly, living on the land and claiming it as her own. Against her mother's wishes, Sarah's teenage daughter, Gina befriends Lilly, who mistakes Gina for a figure from her past.
