Carlos Larios receives an anonymous call that reveals the relationship that his wife has with her brother, and tells Catalina that he will leave her with nothing. She kills him. We discover that Alejandro, her son, is in a homosexual relationship.

Carlos leaves as a clause in the will that his fortune will be inherited by the first of his children who gives him a grandson. Luis, the journalist, lrealizes that Carlos's death was a murder. Catalina kills the coroner to silence him. Catalina runs Sierra Leone's diamond trafficking business.

Catalina sets a trap for José Carlos, her stepson, who is arrested for beating a woman. Alejandro introduces his mother to Leonora, and Catalina thinks she is the perfect prey to give Alejandro a son

Catalina plans a trip to Acapulco with Francisco, her brother-in-law and lover. Alejandro and Leonora make love, starting a double love life. Leonora meets José Carlos and an attraction arises. Ámbar, Francisco's wife, fights with Catalina and she ends up kidnapping her.

Miguel arrives at the jewelry store to look for Alejandro and while they are having a sexual episode, José Carlos discovers them. Luis, jealous, warns Leonora about how dangerous this family is. Catalina keeps Ámbar locked up, but causes her to overdose and asks Diego, her accomplice, to dispose of the body.

Catalina has a dinner with Alejandro and Leonora, making her feel comfortable. Gélica discovers that Catalina has Ámbar's cell phone. Catalina receives a call where they threaten to reveal her secret if she does not give her 500 thousand dollars.

Catalina pretends that she will give the blackmail money. Leonora gets the details of the blackmailer because she believes there is news to pursue. Catalina goes to Mr. X's apartment and kills him at the moment Leonora arrives.

Miguel leaves Alejandro and goes to Chile. Catalina convinces him to marry Leonora. A month later we find out that Ámbar is alive and plans to get revenge. Alejandro goes to look for Miguel willing to return with him and calls his mother to inform her that the wedding with Leonora is canceled.

Alejandro decides to resume the wedding when he finds out that Leonora is pregnant. José Carlos remembers Catalina making love with a man. Miguel arrives ready to stop the wedding, but he can't. Devastated Alejandro tries to commit suicide. José Carlos finds an Amber earring.

José Carlos tells Francisco that he has begun to remember, Catalina listens. Catalina orders an attack against Luis without knowing that Leonora will go with him and they have an accident on the motorcycle, which put in danger the life of their baby. A girl, Vicky, claims to be pregnant with José Carlos.

Catalina tricked Vicky into an abortion, and José Carlos suspects that his stepmother had something to do with it. Leonora decides to work in the jewelry store. Catalina uses Amber's earring to provoke her. She falls and appears in front of Catalina and Francisco with a weapon. She shoots them.

Francisco and Catalina emerge unscathed from the Ámbar attack. She tells her husband what Catalina did to her but he does not believe her. José Carlos feels more and more in love with Leonora. A "mule", which transports diamonds to Gothier, dies and the body is disposed of. They threaten Luis with doing something to Matías if he does not leave the investigation against Gothier.

Catalina discovers that Diego left part of the diamonds in the corpse of the "mule". Francisco decides to go to the gas station where Amber escaped and asks for the videos of that night. Luis gives José Carlos his contact in Sierra Leone to investigate. Catalina arrives at Diego's house ready to kill him.

When Ámbar calls Alejandro to tell him that Carlos was not her father, Catalina leaves her in a coma. José Carlos discovers that Gothier is indeed involved in diamond trafficking from Sierra Leone. Leonora realizes that she thinks a lot about José Carlos. Diego kidnaps Catalina and rapes her savagely.

The police rescue Catalina, but Diego flees; José Carlos tells Leonora that Gothier is involved in the diamond trade. Months later Miguel returns to Mexico and Alejandro decides that they go together. Leonora goes into labor but is complicated and is about to die

Leonora's baby is born, and she's out of danger. The dead body of the "mule" appears with the diamonds inside. Ámbar comes out of the coma. Álvaro discovers Alejandro's relationship with Miguel. Diego meets José Carlos to give him evidence against Catalina, but finds him dead

José Carlos goes to the prosecutor Bustamante to report Catalina. Ämbar tells Alejandro that his real father is Francisco. Álvaro calls Leonora and tells her where to find Alejandro with his lover. She arrives and discovers Alejandro kissing Miguel.

Leonora leaves the house leaving Gélica her wedding ring. Catalina asks Vega to get rid of the prosecutor. Sicarios kill Busdamente in front of José Carlos. Catalina decides to take Miguel out of the way and throws him from the top of a building

Vega tells Catalina that they found Leonora's ring and hair where Miguel died. Shattered Alejandro tries to shoot himself and Catalina tells him that Leonora killed him to stop him. Leonora is arrested and Alejandro, full of rage, takes her son away.

Leonora is desperate because her son was taken away. Vega tortures the construction watchman to testify against Leonora. On Catalina's orders, they beat Leonora in her cell. Álvaro leaves a message for Alejandro telling him that Catalina killed Miguel, that he saw him.

Álvaro hands over his cell phone to José Carlos with the video where Catalina is seen pushing Miguel, although he is not clearly seen. Catalina cuts out Álvaro's tongue. The police arrive for Catalina but Gélica blames herself, saying that she killed Miguel.

Leonora goes free, and José Carlos tells her that he loves her, but she is not ready. Alejandro returns the child to Leonora. Francisco gives José Carlos the information on the diamond trade; and Luis gives him the proof that his father was murdered. Gélica dies in prison, while Catalina is about to kill Francisco.

Francisco tells Catalina that he will run away with her. Ámbar and Alejandro discover that the investigator who discovered Catalina and Francisco's relationship, suspiciously committed suicide. Catalina orders a bomb to be placed on the plane that will take José Carlos to Sierra Leone, but she learns that at the last minute Alejandro has taken his place on the plane.

Catalina tells Alejandro there's a bomb in the plane but it's already too late to do something about it. The plane explodes. Catalina is devastated at killing her own son. She begins to prepare her escape. Desperate, she cuts open a mule to get their diamonds, causing their death. She shoots Vega, considering himto be guilty for Alejandro getting on the plane. Catalina kidnaps Leo's son...
