Remember WENN

The episode begins with Mackie Bloom's (Christopher Murney) humorous commentary on the news, which turns serious when he announces on the air that Jeff Singer (Hugh O'Gorman) is returning to Pittsburgh.

Scott Sherwood (Kevin O'Rourke) newest scheme is to make WENN an all-news station, at least for one day a week. As the cast gears up for the big news day, Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) auditions organists to replace Eugenia Bremer (Mary Stout).

Together with the teacher of the local acting school, Giles Aldwych (Roddy McDowall), Scott Sherwood (Kevin O'Rourke) hatches a plan to add variety to the voices at WENN without paying new actors.

Hilary Booth (Melinda Mullins) complains to Betty about her role on "The Hands of Time" but Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) points out that any changes would have to be cleared with the sponsor.

Christmas marks the first time writer Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) has planned to take any time off and has finished all her scripts ahead of time so she can go home to Elkhart.

After Hilary is unable to sing live on the air, she comes up with a traumatic childhood story so that Betty will sing for her without the listeners knowing the difference.

WENN celebrates Mr. Foley's (Tom Beckett) 7th anniversary on the air with a banana cake, while Maple LaMarsh (Carolee Carmelo) interviews government epidemiologist Dr. Bickman (Michael Jaye) on "Your Health and Welfare."

Wanting his visiting aunt to believe that he is part of a more noble profession, Scott gets the staff to pretend that he is an FBI agent and the station is FBI Headquarters.

Betty Roberts (Amanda Naughton) has become suspicious of WENN's tribute to wedded bliss: "Bridal Bouquet," in which marriages are celebrated on the air.

Mr. Eldridge (George Hall) is looking forward to a visit by an old friend, Pepper Canarsie (Eddie Bracken) a song-and-dance man from their vaudeville days.

Hilary Booth (Melinda Mullins) and Jeff Singer (Hugh O'Gorman) have deleloped an amazing mentalist act for their new show, "Magic Time." A blindfolded Hilary seems to be able to see objects in Jeff's hand and identify them.
