The Truth

For years, convicted murderer Ruby Deloya has maintained his innocence in a young girl's death. Just before he is set to receive the verdict on his appeal, detective Racheli Zabatani finds the body of another girl killed in an eerily similar way.

Brigadier General Forges is put in charge of the case, much to the dismay of Racheli's father, a retired officer who was instrumental in convicting Deloya. When Forges doesn't appoint Racheli to his team, she fights to be part of the investigation.

Racheli connects findings at the crime scenes to Ari Ozri, a former literature teacher of the two murdered girls. But after questioning him, she is struck by his charms-just like 10 years ago, when she was also one of his students.

When Deloya's son is violently attacked, questions arise about a possible connection to a mysterious woman. Information from a surprising source makes Racheli fear that another girl has been murdered.

With rumors of a serial killer terrorizing the town, everyone seems to be a suspect, but Deloya's family hope he will be acquitted. After secrets from Racheli's past are revealed, Forges dismisses her from the unit.
