In Norse mythology there are tales of a sacred tree at the center of the cosmos. Great forests are still at the heart of Scandinavia, stretching towards the Arctic and cut through with a maze of waterways. Across the seasons, this enchanted wilderness is home to lynx, bears, wolves and reindeer who survive through surprising and ancient alliances.

Scandinavia’s northern extremes have been shaped by fire and ice, but it’s the sun that reigns supreme. Musk oxen, polar bears and arctic foxes endure the long polar night, but the sun’s return ignites a dramatic transformation and heralds the return of migrant visitors.
