Brian has struggled for years to kill a mature Barbary sheep ram, so he ventures into the Chihuahuan Desert in Mexico in hopes that he finds a good one!

Chasing turkeys from the mountains to the deserts is exhilarating to say the least, and these encounters won't disappoint.

Brian's mom said it best, "Those mule deer have been hard on you!" So, Brian sets out to the Arizona desert to try his luck on a velvet buck with his bow.

Brian and Jeff find themselves pinned down in the middle of bugling bulls in the heart of New Mexico.

The two brothers leave the comfort of home in New Mexico to venture North into Wyoming for a fast-paced combination elk and deer hunt.

As the two brothers, Brian and Jeff, traipsed through the new territory of Montana, they expected to find themselves in beautiful mountainous terrain suitable for mule deer hunting. However, what Brian didn't know is that his hunt would quickly turn into a whitetail hunt in the flats rather than the mountainous terrain he expected.

Brian notched his tag early during an intense moment in the flats. Jeff tried his luck in the low country only to be called back to the mountains where he hoped to find some mule deer. The weather, the mud, the lack of deer, and having sick kiddos at home all made things feel a bit bleak so a bit of motivation was needed to recharge the team and this hunt won't disappoint.

The brothers finished their hunts in Montana and had loads of venison to show for it. But, Jeff still had his elk tag in Wyoming burning a hole in his pocket. After a few phone calls, Jeff made a plan to peel away from the team to make his way back to Battle Mountain in the hope he could add an elk to his freezer.

Each year it seems Beyond Rubicon is all about the elk, but this year is different, and the focus is Mule Deer. This story starts when Jeff runs shotgun with the family's lifelong friend, Clint Davis, on a self-filmed, run-and-gun, action-packed late-season rifle hunt. But the story doesn't end here, and the boys are preparing for more adventures up north in Colorado.

The year of the mule deer continues as the brothers roll into hunt camp in Colorado. Unfortunately, Brian, Jeff, and Clint all had the virus so it made things interesting. The highground didn't have much sign so Jeff ventured hours away to the low country and finally got into a mess of deer.
