For Drew, every day is a school day, unable to predict who he'll meet, what he’ll be offered, or what he’ll learn. And this week, visiting three diverse dealers, it’s all about what Drew learns, and the hard-earned knowledge he can helpfully impart.

Drew visits dealers whose vision of the antiques world is different to his own. Along the way he discovers a strikingly carved lion, an extraordinary gilded mirror, and chairs made for the Houses of Parliament by his design hero, Pugin.

Drew has enjoyed great success buying items rich with local provenance. This week, he’s left speechless by a locally sourced Georgian Cockpen chair near the Scottish border, and snaps up a chilling piece by a local outsider artist in North Wales.

Drew’s always keen to learn from other masters of the antiques trade. This week, he buys from fellow experts, snapping up a stylish reclining campaign chair, a Georgian bookcase, and a deer carved by a 19th century Indian artist.
