Season 2 opens in "New Chicago" as Nolan's desperate search for Irisa finally yields vital information taking him south to "Angel Arc" Los Angeles.

Irisa is arrested after returning to Defiance but Mayor Pottinger offers Nolan her release in exchange for capturing those responsible for unleashing a deadly explosion which nearly killed him. Meanwhile, Stahma plots to keep Datak behind bars in order to continue controlling the family's criminal enterprise.
