Diesel Power Challenge

Meet the players, and watch as they square off in the first competitive segment of Diesel Power Challenge 2018 Presented by XDP. The chassis dyno at ATS Diesel Performance is the place where it all went down and where it’s “all about the numbers,” as peak horsepower and torque numbers are added together to determine a truck’s rear-wheel-performance total.

Our 9 Diesel Power Challenge 2018 Presented by XDP competitors are at Bandimere Speedway, where their trucks are being put to the test of towing a loaded utility trailer (approximately 11,500-pounds) through a single 1/8-mile dragstrip pass. The quickest time wins the event. Watch as tons of diesel fury thunders down the dragstrip.

Diesel Power Challenge 2018 Presented by XDP continues, with competitors racing head-to-head and flat out on the ј-mile drag strip at Bandimere Speedway. The event is run in a ЂњQuick 8 Ђќ format, where the top-8 qualified trucks are paired and run off in eliminations to see who is the quickest and fastest!

Diesel Power Challenge 2018 Presented by XDP’s 9 reader-selected contenders compete in an event designed to assess each driver’s skill. On the cone course, the spotlight shifts from a truck’s go-fast prowess to the driver’s ability to navigate a CDL-style training circuit while maneuvering with an 11,500-pound tractor-carrying trailer in tow.

On the final day of Diesel Power Challenge 2018 Presented by XDP, each of our 9 competitors hooked their truck to the pulling sled, and attempted to drag it as far as possible across a track created at Bandimere Speedway. After the final pull, we wrapped-up the weeklong competition with a banquet.
