Popeye

Olive hopes she has won a date with the International, a suave TV personality, and is enthralled when he arrives. Mr. Suave is Bluto in disguise and he romances Olive in true Latin fashion much to the dismay of the Popeye.

Knowing Olive is superstitious, Bluto pretends Thursday is really Friday the 13th, so she won't go out with Popeye. He causes a series of accidents to happen around her to prove that Popeye causes her bad luck.

Moving men Popeye and Bluto both compete to impress the coy Olive with their packing skills. In a madcap race, Popeye wins Olive's adoration after beating Bluto at his own game.

Bluto and Popeye both propose to Olive Oyl and it's Popeye who wins her hand. At least it looks that way, until Bluto does everything short of mayhem to keep the prospective bridegroom from getting to the church on time.

Bluto takes Olive to a carnival to visit the lady fortune teller, who is really Popeye in disguise. The gypsy warns of a mountain trip and in fade-out we see our threesome battling each other and the elements as they climb the Alps.

Popeye plans a safe and sane 4th of July Celebration for his nephews but the little guys have other ideas and sabotage all his efforts. When they get in trouble, Popeye and his spinach are called on to save the frightened trio.

Popeye is furious when Bluto opens a diner across the way from his own. The two rivals compete to lure customer Wimpy inside with all sorts of madcap tricks.

Adrift at sea, Popeye and Olive come upon an old English ghost ship. The ghostly crew resent the intrusion and do everything possible to frighten the pair, with hysterical results.
