In the early 2000s, 19-year-old Tanja from the Netherlands moves to Colombia as an au pair and is confronted by the country’s political unrest. Shocked by the injustice, she joins the FARC guerrilla army. After years in the jungle, she becomes a key member and participates in peace talks that end Latin America’s longest civil war. Now, an Interpol warrant delays her reunion with her family.
