The Crowded Day

Excellent film about department store girls living in a hostel together that includes an unwanted pregnancy as well as some light romance. This film looks at the position of women in the 1950s and in particular the difficulties that they encountered. Directed by John Guillermin ('Towering Inferno' and Death on the Nile) script by Talbot Rothwell (wrote the 'Carry Ons').
