We use the Adi Mantra: Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo to tune into our inner teacher and the teachings and wisdom that the lineage of Kundalini Yoga brings. Ong Namo means - I bow to the subtle divine wisdom, and Guru Dev Namo means - I bow to the divine teacher within. This mantra clears our mind and sets us ready to begin our practice.

This meditation is to help relieve feelings of stress and exhaustion, and to help you let go and relax, bringing tranquillity and a sense of calm, equanimity and evoking a feeling of happiness. Exhaling through the mouth sends a signal to the hypothalamus for the body to relax and let go.
9. Tune-out

9. Tune-out
To tune out and consolidate the benefits of our practice we use Sat Nam, which means 'Truth is my name, truth is my identity'. When it is used at the end of the practice, it is chanted with the hands in prayer position and it helps to balance and centre.
