Zav, 17, a young musician influenced by the hyperpop movement, dreams of being accepted at the Conservatory of Music and leaving behind his Franco-Ontarian village where he feels stifled.

Lacking musical inspiration, Zav decides to spice up his life and invites his girlfriend for an intimate evening which doesn’t go as planned. Needing space, Zav ends the evening at an open house with Uriel, whom he starts to find attractive.

It’s audition day at the Conservatory and Zav still doesn’t know which song to perform. The adrenaline from the audition helps him overcome his fears and explore certain aspects of himself he’s always kept secret.

Zav experiences great joy and great disappointment at the same time. His sister Audrey’s water breaks and Zav is left alone at home. This sudden solitude prompts him to throw himself into a musical performance in which he explores his femininity.

Exhilarated, Zav continues to explore his femininity through his music, but finds it hard to hide everything from his family. When Patrice discovers what’s going on, he explodes and Zav feels betrayed.

With Charlotte, Uriel and Max, Zav goes to Montréal. He has some revealing encounters and realizes that he is free to live as he pleases for an evening. Uriel discovers Zav’s new personality and is very attracted.

Zav continues to explore his femininity and anonymously shoots a video with his friends, but is surprised by Olivier. They swear themselves to secrecy. Short of money, Zav makes bad decisions which force him to return home.

Since the trip to Montréal, Zav and Uriel don’t know how to act with each other. To make it up, Uriel invites SKYE on a date. They enjoy a romantic moment, but everything goes south when Carl arrives and discovers what’s going on.

Zav is humiliated, devastated. To make him feel better, his father invites him to the cottage for the weekend. On the way back, Zav hears Nathalie’s new song, his song, on the radio. Once home, Zav explodes and tells all to Nathalie and his family.

With nothing left to lose, Zav demands that Nathalie get him another audition. Highly strung, Zav delivers a grandiose performance. A few weeks later, Zav receives an unexpected answer from the Conservatory.
