Hostage

A bomb has been planted on a long-haul flight from Stockholm to San Francisco. The lives of 300 people are at stake, so the Swedish Security Service brings in Frederika Bergman and her former boss, the legendary Alex Recht.

With the pilot refusing to cooperate with the team on the ground, Alex recruits his son, copilot Erik, to redirect the plane back into Swedish airspace. Meanwhile, Frederika visits the detained prisoner, Said Khelifi.

Erik enlists the help of a passenger, despite his earlier suspicions. Together, they enter the plane’s cargo hold and investigate what they believe to be the bomb. Meanwhile, pilot Karim Sassi becomes the prime suspect in the hijacking.

Erik and Osman try to breech the cockpit without alerting passengers that anything is wrong. As the plane approaches US airspace, it risks being shot down by the military.

Fredrika inches closer to the mystery of Operation Tennyson, but suspects that someone is slowing her progress. Over the US, the plane is not shot down but danger persists; the hijackers have Karim’s family and have given him orders.

As the plane circles over San Francisco, Erik, Fredrika and Karim do what they can to stop Lydia's plan. Finally, Eden is forced to reveal her role in the events of 2014.
