Using cards brought back from the game, Gon and Killua head out to meet someone who they hope is Ging.

Gon and Killua decide to join Kite and his team in their research mission gathering information on the Chimera Ants.

Kite has narrowed down the location of the Chimera Ants.

Gon and his friends enter the NGL. Meanwhile, the Chimera Ants have started going through surprising changes.

The situation worsens, and Gon and his friends receive Ponzu’s message.

Gon and his friends come face-to-face with Chimera Ants for the first time and are frightened by their speed and power.

The Chimera Ants become increasingly vicious after eating the members of the NGL underground.

The Hunter Association sets out to eliminate the Chimera Ants.

Hagya attacks Gon, Killua and Kite. Meanwhile, the first of the Queen’s Royal Guards is about to be born.

Kite, Gon and Killua continue using Nen to follow Hagya to the Chimera Ant’s nest.

Gon and Killua vow to get stronger so they can return and rescue Kite.

Even though they are intimidated by Knuckle, Gon and Killua proceed with Biscuit’s training.

Gon and Killua are exhausted after their fight with Knuckle as the second assassin, Shoot, lies in wait.

Knuckle points out to Gon that there are flaws in his ultimate technique, the Ja Jan Ken.

Killua faces Shoot while Gon takes on Knuckle.

The Three Royal Guards kneel down to respectfully welcome the Chimera Ant King, but by doing so they signal the end of their allegiance to the Queen.

Colt surrenders and seeks the help of the extermination team to help the dying Queen.

After losing to Knuckle and Shoot, Gon and Killua return home to Palm.

While Gon is on his date with Palm, Killua encounters Rammot in the forest. Just when their battle is about to begin, Killua hears his brother’s voice in his head, telling him to run away.

Knuckle and Morel appear to be overwhelmed by the speed of Cheetu’s attacks, but they have a chance at victory. Knuckle smiles and says they have intelligence and experience on their side, as Morel exhales white smoke that surrounds all three of them.

Kalluto, Feitan, Shalnark, Phinks, Shizuku, and Bonolenov meet in Meteor City, the home of the Phantom Troupe. They have returned after getting the news that the Chimera Ant, Zazan, has built her nest in their city.

The members of the Phantom Troupe go to Zazan’s nest to defeat her. The Troupe splits up to confront Zazan’s minions individually. As they battle, each member of the Troupe reveals their secret ability.

Gon and Killua arrive in a village in East Gorteau but find no trace of the inhabitants. They find and follow bloodstains out of a house only to discover corpses dug up by wild dogs. Killua reveals to Gon that he’s realized the true purpose of the national celebration...

A pair of Chimera Ants appears and hunts Gon under the cover of night, overwhelming him with their attacks. Feeling that things are at a standstill, he gathers up his Nen and prepares to throw a punch.
