Marco, an aspiring fashion photographer, is forced to go back to his hometown in Tuscany, but he finds out that his parents have erased him from their lives. Lidia works two jobs in order to support a dysfunctional family. Sofia is writing her master's thesis in Etruscology, juggling two divorced parents. One night, strange hooded figures change their life forever.

Marco works for Lars as a photographer at a funeral and he realises that the digital undertaker is also investigating the strange talisman. Lidia meets Marco. The two of them connect the dots of this whole mess, but she learns something too much.

After Sofia discovers that her father has sabotaged her career, she locks herself in her room for days, refusing all contacts with the outside. Haunted by nightmares, she tries crack the talisman enigma.

Marco, Lidia and Sofia infiltrate the town hall building in Arezzo to get the identity of Rebecca's kidnapper. In the middle of it, the tension between Lidia and Marco reaches breaking point.

Lidia runs away from her family and seeks refuge at Sofia's house. Meanwhile Marco, helped by Lars, makes a shocking discovery that involves him personally.

Sofia manages to translate the inscription on the talisman, now that she can hold one in her hands. Marco returns to the two girls: he's convinced he has the solution to all of it. His plan throws the team into panic.

The big ritual is just around the corner. Marco, Sofia and Lidia want to tie up their loose ends, when suddenly the truth catches them unprepared.

Two months after the photos are published, Marco faces the consequences of his actions. Lidia finds herself on the right track for the first time, but it may be too late.
