Beauty & The Beast (1987)

Catherine walks fearlessly into the dark cave, where Vincent is roaring in rage and fear, apparently in control of the 'Other' side of himself. It is Catherine screaming his name that stops Vincent from a killing blow, and then he collapses, taking Catherine with him to the floor of the cave. Catherine brings him back and Vincent becomes himself again slowly, but with one very important omission.

Vincent, Joe and Elliot Burch all continue to search for Catherine who is still being held captive as her baby grows inside her.

Vincent carries Catherine back to her apartment. He stays with her until his enemy, the dawn, forces him to leave.

in which we learn the reasons many of them now reside beneath the streets of New York City.

The man who killed Catherine and took her baby sends an assassin to get Vincent. He manages to find the underground world and goes looking for him. Vincent upon learning of his presence tries to lead him away from the others.

Elliott Burch meets Vincent who gives him the ring that Snow left behind. Elliott tells Vincent that he is being crippled financially by this man.

Diana takes Vincent to her home, and cares for him as best as she can. For three days he hovers between unconsciousness and delirium.

Diana takes the ring to a jeweler to find out information on it, but through it she is connected to Vincent. Gabriel tells her that Vincent's son is dying and without his father the baby will die.

Vincent has held his son throughout the night, just the two of them, but Gabriel will not let this continue, and returns, demanding to have his son back.

Vincent has withdrawn from the mian community for their safety, and now lives with his memories of his life with Catherine, and mourns her absence, with only his journal for company. Into this solitude stumbles Rolley, and having been shot and still craving drugs.

At Jacob's naming ceremony, his father meets an old flame and they rekindle their relationship. Mary tells Vincent that a helper had been murdered.

Upon returning to "The World Below" upon the knowledge of some of ex-tunnel inhabitants being murdered, Father encounters Gregory Coyle who seeks revenge for the death of his father by cave-in 20 years ago. Diana makes it her mission to catch Gregory before he can kill another ex-inhabitant of "The World Below."
