Gwen's Lucky Girl powers return when she buys a magical stone at a magic convention in Las Vegas. However, Hex is after the same stone, and after his niece breaks him out of prison, the two set off to retrieve the stone.

Max's old friend has built the world's only underwater resort, and Ben, Gwen and Max are invited for a sneak peak. But it turns out in order to power the resort, Max's friend took an energy orb from a race of underwater aliens.

Ben's internal demons get externalized when Ghostfreak escapes from his watch and becomes a full-fledged being on his own. The renegade alien then realizes he needs to meld with Ben's DNA in order to survive.

Dr. Animo has broken out of jail, and has been tracking down Ben, intent on revenge. At the same time, Ben's broken off a piece of the Omnitrix, and as a result, has turned into weird alien combinations, i.e., StinkArms.

Ben has unlocked his watch's secret and can become any alien he wants, whenever he wants. After finding each other in the depths of space, Kevin 11 and Vilgax have teamed up and returned to Earth to destroy Ben and get the Omnitrix.
