Doug to the Rescue (Season 2)

In our season opener Doug takes his drone to the Dominican Republic after a call for help from a local rescuer. People have been abandoning their dogs and newborn puppies at the town dump leaving them to survive in the trash. It’s up to Doug to find these pups and save them before it’s too late.

Doug travels to Malawi in Central Africa to work with hyena researchers. They believe his drone can revolutionize their work and Doug is eager to contribute to wild animal conservation. What the drone shows them will surprise them all.

In addition to rescue Doug Thron is committed to conserving wild habitats for biodiversity. He visits Malawi in Central Africa to experiment in ways his drone can assist wildlife research. From remote sensing to tracking some of the world’s biggest bats Doug never knew his drone was so capable.

After the Dixie Fire devastates the tiny CA town of Greenville Doug heads in with his old friend Shannon Jay to rescue the lost cats that have been left behind in the burn zone. As it turns out though there’s far more than cats that need to be saved out there.

In the season finale Doug takes his drone to Kentucky where an unprecedented winter tornado has just ripped through. Amidst the carnage of Mayfield and Dawson Springs Doug puts his rescue skills to the test to save the slew of lost cats and dogs fighting for life in the bitter December cold.
