Popeye and Bluto compete in swimming the English Channel, with Bluto up to his old shenanigans.

Bluto tries to outsmart Popeye and lure the sailor man away from his trusty spinach.

Popeye has his ups and downs when his young nephews try to help him build a dream house.

Spinach has less appeal for Popeye's nephews than the western movie they're watching on television. To get the kids to eat the vegetable he tells them what it did for him when he was a young tenderfoot looking for a job on a ranch.

Popeye's snoring wakes the little mouse that lives in his wall. Despite all the little creature's attempts to stop him, the dreadful sound continues. Popeye retaliates by locking the mouse in his spinach can.

Popeye takes his nephews to a Nautical Museum where the little guys admire a statue of Sinbad, the Sailor. Popeye tells them in flashback how he defeated the famed Sinbad.

This famous fairy tale in reverse has dashing CinderFella Popeye at the ball to woo the beautiful Princess Olive. Rival Bluto battles him for the fair maid and at midnight all seems lost for the poor again Popeye.

Popeye and Poopdeck Pappy violently disagree on how Swee'Pea should be raised. Popeye believes in the modern methods described in child psychology books but Pappy opposes him.

Olive and Popeye's three nephews are planning a surprise birthday party for him. When he arrives early, Olive instructs them to delay him and you can imagine the madness they create for Popeye.

Popeye and Olive go to the bullfights where Olive is smitten by the dashing Matador Bluto. Fortified by his spinach, a jealous Popeye hops into the ring for some fancy footwork. Bluto adds some jumping beans to the spinach.

Bluto and Popeye are at Olive's house looking at Popeye's baby pictures in an old album. Bluto is jealous that he never had a black eye as a baby and Popeye obliges him and all the parties are happy once again.

Bluto and Popeye are playing cards when the fire alarm rings. Olive's house is on fire and they race there hoping to be the one that saves her. Their fighting gets in the way, and it's Olive who eats the spinach and saves the two brawlers.
